Asynchronous Tools

  • ACT (Yale), under GNU General Public License v2.0
    • ACT is an Asynchronous Circuit Toolkit which has been built from scratch to support the design and implementation of asynchronous logic.

Analog and Mixed Signal

  • OpenVAF (SemiMod GmbH), under GNU General Public License v3.0
    • OpenVAF is a Verilog-A compiler that can compile Verilog-A files for use in circuit simulator.
  • FASoC (UMich), under MIT License
    • Fully-Autonomous SoC Synthesis using Customizable Cell-Based Synthesizable Analog Circuits.
  • BAG: Berkeley Analog Generator (Berkeley)
    • A Python-based circuit design platform that aims to automate analog circuit design, but at the same time give the user full visibility and control over every step in the design flow.
  • MAGICAL (UT Austin)
    • Machine Generated Analog IC Layout.
  • ALIGN (UMN, TAMU, Intel), under BSD 3-Clause "New" or "Revised" License
    • The goal of ALIGN is to automatically translate an unannotated (or partially annotated) SPICE netlist of an analog circuit to a GDSII layout.
  • SystemC AMS PoC 2.3, under Apache License v2.0
    • Offers an implementation of the IEEE 1666.1 SystemC AMS standard.
  • Affine Arithmetic Decition Diagrams (AADD)
    • Provides a C++ library for the creation and manipulation of affine arithmetic decision diagrams (AADD).

Analog and Mixed Signal (freeware)

  • APDK CNM25, "freely available"
    • To introduce circuit designers to the top-down design methodology of mixed-signal full-custom integrated circuits (ICs) in CMOS technologies.
